The Storm Provided Great Memorial Day Memories Print

The Storm had a great Memorial Day Tournament. Competing in the Potomac Memorial, the Storm started day 1 with 2 solid victories over the LaPlata Edge (3-1) and the Freedom Flash (4-2). Mia, Amanda and Lillian scored highlight worthy goals in the first match. Wittney, Kaitlyn and Sophia provided the spark for the Storm in Game 2 and Madison(2), Mia and Lillian provided the spectacular goals.

On day 2, the Storm defense held strong in the morning game. Sidney and Lauren helped Noelle preserve another shutout in a 2-0 victory over the MSC Elite. Madison and Wittney scored amazing well earned goals. In the semi-finals, the Storm put in a valiant effort. With tired legs, the Storm battled the Seneca Hornets. Down 2-0 at the half, Madison cut the lead 7 minutes into the 2nd half. Despite creating a number of great scoring chances,in the end, it was the Hornets day. The Storm have a lot to be be proud of, playing "fun to watch" soccer and displaying a never give-up attitude.
